In Quartu, 150 people have received REIS (Social Inclusion Income) benefits. Starting today, they will be employed in various activities at various municipal facilities: from the cemetery to the park on Via Dublino (which is once again accessible), from the CAM (Mobile Environmental Waste Collection Center) on Via Mar Mediterraneo to the Service Center on Via Zara. They will also be deployed on Viale Colombo, the Bussola, the Michelangelo Pira Space, Matteotti Park, and the adjacent streets, in Piazza IV Novembre and surrounding areas, and in the multipurpose center on Via Monsignor Angioni.
Beneficiaries will have the opportunity to contribute to the management and enhancement of public spaces, such as parks and cemeteries, through various initiatives and services, coordinated by the Department of Social Policy. Specifically, they will be able to support the administration in extending the opening hours of various spaces, allowing for more flexible and accessible use for citizens.
They will assist disabled people with their transportation and offer basic services, such as distributing informational materials. Another important aspect concerns the surveillance of entrances, which beneficiaries can carry out through surveillance and control activities, thus contributing to the safety and protection of public areas.
Furthermore, they will contribute to completing and improving surveillance and cleaning during the initiatives and will be responsible for waste collection and reporting any system faults, thus contributing to the optimal state of conservation of public areas.
