Word of Christian Solinas , who greeted the award ceremony of the Sardinian companies that participated in the seventh edition of the " Sardinia Food Awards ", an event dedicated to the island's agri-food excellence that was held last night in Pula.

To testify the excellent health of the sector "the massive participation of hundreds of Sardinian producers in this initiative and the interest shown by Coldiretti".

"We must continue to invest in the quality of our products and improve the organization of the production system in order to achieve sustainable development and modern business models strongly linked to technological innovation", adds the Sardinian president.

According to which we must aim to "strengthen the presence in the commercial circuits, conquer new spaces using all the distribution and communication channels available". For Solinas, the “ short chain ” must also be favored.

Murgia also mentioned “MenSarda” the project in collaboration with Anci Sardegna to promote zero kilometer public canteens. “ The ultimate goal is to achieve food sovereignty . Also in this case everything revolves around words such as quality, genuineness, food safety, sustainability. All characteristics that are the true richness of our food and wine heritage and its excellence ".
