The keyword is longevity. For Quartomoro, the winery founded by Piero Cella and Luciana Baso with their sons Alberto and Violante, it is a fascinating journey that characterizes the evolution of a wine over time. A splendid emotional and knowledge journey through "the most significant vines of our territory, to discover their evolutionary aspects and appreciate their effects", explain Piero and Luciana.

"Vite d'essence" is the beating heart of the successful Memorie di Vite project, by the Quartomoro family. In the new cellar which stands at the foot of Monte Arci, in the Is Bangius area of Marrubiu, the Historical Archive was presented on Friday, which since 2011 has collected a part of the production of each individual label, thus creating a special wine bank. «A project that arises from the winery's desire to understand if the traditional and native white and red varieties can support aging and maturation worthy of giving emotions. Generally - add the founders of the winery - the Sardinian vines transformed into wine have not been subjected to this type of test, and the Sardinians have always looked with great shyness at such a coveted gift: longevity. There are many surprises: Vermentino after 10 years still shows freshness and citrus olfactory sensations still alive, and a differently biting spiciness. The Bovale from sandy vineyards offers the characteristic textures of long-aging vines, and, typical of an area near the sea, it transfers balsamic and iodized notes and a soft and fresh tannic structure at the same time».

Quartomoro, born in 2011, today produces about 60,000 bottles and has a company area of 12.5 hectares where Vermentino, Vernaccia, Nuragus, Semidano, Arvisionadu, Nasco, Cannonau, Bovale, Muristellu, Carignano, Cagnulari, Monica are grown. An extraordinary wine gem guarded by the obsidians of the ancient volcano.
