«An absurd act, devoid of funding and the opinion of legitimacy of the Director General of Health. It's also illogical." The judgment of the Progressives in the Regional Council on the resolution of the junta which provides for the closure of old hospitals and the construction of new ones is heavy: in Cagliari via the Brotzu and the Oncological, in favor of what has already been defined as the "city hospital" , while in Alghero and Iglesias Civile-Marino and Santa Barbara-Sirai would be merged respectively. In Sassari, on the other hand, a new structure has been planned to be entrusted to the management of the Aou.

For Francesco Agus "the resolution will have a cost that will have repercussions on the health of citizens because the two hospitals in Cagliari that are about to be outdated are already the subject of a total investment plan of 159 million euros, 65 of which relating to the new technological plate del Brotzu for which the first five million euro tender has already started. In the light of the new resolution, the risk is that everything will stop and that resources will be lost".

Not only that, given that the financial resources are within the program agreement itself «the possibility is clear and concrete that the funds for the new Cagliari stadium will also disappear. Either the law approved in the last budget is changed or the new stadium will never see the light of day».

For Massimo Zedda «tomorrow there could be another majority and it is truly incredible that strategic and long-term projects are presented without any sharing. The doubt arises that the goal is not really to build hospitals but to create and pay for projects and planners».
The municipal councilors of Cagliari Matteo Massa and Francesca Ghirra (who is also a deputy) spoke of an "intolerable setback to the city": "We are faced with the destruction of health care and instead of remedying the waiting lists and the journeys of hope with this resolution, absurd scenarios and a waste of money are looming.
