Daniele Perenzoni of the Rovereto section will referee Parma vs. Cagliari, the first matchday of the 2026-27 Serie A season. The championship kicks off on Saturday with the opening matches , and one of the four kick-off matches is the one at the Tardini Stadium, kicking off at 8:45 PM. He will be assisted by assistants Vito Mastrodonato (Barletta section) and Mattia Politi (Lecce), the fourth official Daniele Doveri (Roma 1), and the VAR referee Federico Dionisi (L'Aquila) will be assisted by Ivano Pezzuto (Lecce).

Perenzoni's only previous appearance is certainly not a positive one for Cagliari. It was the 2-0 defeat against Modena on February 3, 2023, in Serie B, a game hotly contested due to Marko Rog's dismissal at halftime (a highly questionable second yellow) . He's coming off Cremonese-Sampdoria in the Coppa Italia last Monday.
