The most beautiful photo hangs in the room. Carla Fracci who gives him a caress is an indelible memory for Paolo Barbonaglia, 25 years old, dancer. He is Carola Puddu's Romeo, the Selargius dancer who plays Juliet in Shakespeare's drama, of the Rome Ballet directed by Fabrizio Monteverde.

The two, young protagonists with the magic of the greatest love story of all time, will also be in Cagliari at the Massimo theater in a special event that anticipates the 2022-2023 season of the Cedac Grand Dance: Tuesday 13 December at 5 and at 20.30 and Wednesday 14 at the same times.

And all the shows are already sold out except for the new extraordinary repeat on 13 at 17. For Barbonaglia it is the first time on the island, «I've only been there on holiday with my parents when I was a child, but never to dance. This is the first time and I'm really delighted, I can't wait to get there».

Tell us Paolo, how does it feel to play none other than Romeo?

“It's a very interesting and also very complicated role because you're always on stage from start to finish. The development of the character is very important. I had already done it in 2019 again for the Ballet of Rome but then my partner was Azzurra Schena ».

Now instead there is Carola Puddu. How did you find yourself?

«Very well, we have consolidated this pairing. We have already done several reruns that have made us find harmony even on stage ».

With Carola among other things, you have in common "Friends". What do you keep from that experience?

“I was very young, I was just eighteen. It's been a long time coming but it was a good experience. In television, several factors come into play beyond the physicality of the dance. It was a particular thing that helped me to forge my character».

On TV he also made "Stasera casa Mika".

«Yes Mika is a very special artist, a great person. He matched up with us and came to the rehearsal room to confront each other, I didn't expect a celebrity to be able to do this».

What do you remember about Carla Fracci?

«I did an internship with her, a woman of great experience. He gave me a caress. I have the photo in my room, my mum wanted it so much».

What did Carola tell you about Sardinia?

"He told me he has a house in the country and that it's a very nice place."

Didn't she tell her that her dad used to bring her piglet to Paris too? Maybe he'll let her taste it too.

"No, actually, he didn't tell me that!"

What dreams do you have now?

«In the meantime, I like to live my work experience in a serene way, I always want to be sure of doing a good job and completing the daily challenges. We don't know about the future."
