Marco Palestra also had a hand in Italy's impressive 4-0 victory over Sweden this afternoon in Cesena. The Cagliari full-back, born in 2005 and on loan from Atalanta, provided an assist, continuing his excellent start to the season. He played 90 minutes, while Riyad Idrissi, the other Rossoblu player, remained on the bench compared to the two September games that kicked off the new cycle under Silvio Baldini.
The Azzurrini took the lead in the 12th minute, a cross-field pass opening up the pitch for Pisilli, who fired a low, angled shot from 20 meters off the post to make it 1-0. The other post, to the left of the Swedish goalkeeper, denied him a second goal just after the half-hour mark with a header. Italy's second goal was only a throw-in, and in the 40th minute Camarda won and converted (with a chip) a penalty: at 17 years and 7 months, on his debut, the 2008-born player, owned by AC Milan and on loan at Lecce, became the youngest-ever scorer for the Italy Under-21 team .
In the third minute of injury time A play on the right on Palestra, the Cagliari full-back's usual great acceleration and low cross that Pisilli converted for a brace and the 3-0 lead that took us to the break . In the second half, in the 58th minute Camarda hit the post on a cross from Koleosho, then in the second of three minutes of injury time (92') a penalty was awarded for a foul on Fini and the "home" Cesena player Tommaso Berto scored the fourth. With this victory, Italy Under-21 remain at the top of Group E with a perfect record (9 points) alongside Poland. Their next match is on Tuesday at 6:15 pm against Armenia in Cremona.
