Mattia Felici's rehabilitation process has begun for the second time in just under a year. This morning, the Cagliari winger began physiotherapy at the Villa Stuart clinic in Rome, where he underwent surgery last week by Professor Pier Paolo Mariani .
Felici, as the clinic announced, will continue his rehabilitation program for the next 45 days , with regular contact with Cagliari's medical staff to monitor his progress and the evolution of his recovery. Subsequently, the next steps will be defined for his return to the field, which, however, can only occur in 2027 (the season, obviously, is compromised).
Felici's new injury dates back to Cagliari vs. Lecce on September 7th, with his tears as he left the pitch immediately raising fears of the worst . Four days later, he underwent surgery in Rome to reconstruct the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee and suture the lateral and medial menisci. On December 2nd, 2025, he tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee.
