Marin stays in Empoli, deal practically done: here are the figures
Once an agreement has been reached between the clubs, the midfielder's final go-ahead will soon follow
Cagliari and Marin close to final greetings. Once the terms for the redemption expired, Empoli has in any case expressed the desire to confirm the Romanian midfielder. And, after the sale of Vicario to Tottenham for around 20 million (2 million of which will go to the rossoblù coffers), now the Tuscans are ready to return to the assault for Marin.
Deal done between the clubs, with the player being loaned out for free with the right to buy for 2 million. Not only that, Cagliari will retain the right to obtain 50% of the proceeds from a future sale of the midfielder.
In all of this, 15% of the 2 million (about 300,000 euros) will be transferred from Cagliari to Ajax as per past agreements. To define everything, as always, only the signing of Marin is missing, who however seems happy to stay one more season in Empoli.
