A young woman was found dead in a park in Reggio Emilia, stabbed in the throat.

The carabinieri arrived on the spot with the prosecutor on duty and the coroner, who immediately opened an investigation for murder. The former partner, suspected, was stopped and admitted the facts.

The victim is a 34-year-old of Peruvian origin but resident in Reggio Emilia: the deep stab wound in the neck immediately led the investigators to lean towards the murder. Then the investigations removed all doubts.

The crime took place between last night and this night. The tragic discovery, the body was lying upside down, took place this morning around 10 in a public garden in via Patti.

The man arrested is called Mirko Genco, 24, from Parma. He was recently arrested and tried for stalking the victim, he admitted his responsibilities.

He was free from 4 November, the day on which the precautionary measure expired following the plea bargain the day before in the trial for stalking against the Peruvian. Genco was arrested on 5 September for persecutory acts and on 6, after the validation of the arrest, he was released from prison and subjected to the precautionary measure of the prohibition of approach.

On 10 September he was arrested again for violation of the measure, trespassing and further harassment, obtaining house arrest on 23 September until 4 November.
