The Aosta prosecutor has asked for a life sentence for Gabriel Falloni , 36 years old from Sassari, accused of the murder of Elena Raluca Serban , a woman of Romanian origin killed at 32 on 17 April 2021, shot in the neck, in her apartment in Aosta.

That evening, the man went to the woman, contacted via a classifieds site, to have sexual intercourse.

According to prosecutors Luca Ceccanti and Manlio D'Ambrosi , at the origin of that murder and the subsequent flight to Genoa, there is the robbery of 8 thousand euros suffered by the woman : Falloni feared his complaint and, given his past, he feared to end in jail.

The trial takes place before the Court of Assizes presided over by judge Eugenio Gramola.

The victim's family filed a civil action asking for a provisional compensation of about 220 thousand euros. The sentence is expected in the afternoon.

DEFENSE: "VICE OF MIND" - "Partial vice of mind". Falloni's defense asks that "the aggravating factors contested" (cruelty and futile reasons) be removed. The lawyer Marco Palmieri, of the Sassari forum, who assists him together with his colleague Davide Meloni from Aosta, produced a partisan technical consultancy in the courtroom that describes a partial inability to understand and want .

Falloni "has never met his father, the friends he does not have. He escapes - said the lawyer Palmieri in his speech - from any kind of situation, even of harmony, that is created. Some say that Falloni seemed to have a personality disorder ".

"How can you say that Falloni - added the lawyer - entered the apartment to carry out a robbery. Hiding one's face is a banal gesture for those who frequent a dating house". According to the defender, we can therefore speak of "theft", but not of robbery. Of the 8 thousand euros stolen from women, most had been spent "on taxi journeys to Genoa and on giving cell phones to their grandchildren, who don't even consider it".
