A four-month-old baby is hospitalized in intensive care at the Giovanni XXIII pediatric hospital in Bari due to an ethyl coma caused by drinking wine .

The cause, according to the first reconstruction, would be a dramatic error in the preparation of a bottle. In fact, the wine would have been used to dilute the powdered milk .

The child's mother, having noticed the mistake, accompanied the child to the emergency room of Perrino in Brindisi, where the child underwent urgent treatment, including gastric lavage, before being intubated and transferred to Bari .

The Brindisi Prosecutor's Office has also been informed of the case and will acquire the medical documentation of the incident in the next few hours.
