The "Leonida" operation, launched at dawn and conducted by the Guardia di Finanza on alleged irregularities in the direct awarding of public contracts exclusively to a Reggio Emilia company in the waste disposal sector, also affects Sardinia.

Five precautionary measures were carried out (one under house arrest and four disqualifications) of which three were against public officials: 14 were under investigation.

The Fiamme Gialle of Sassari carried out a search in Santa Teresa di Gallura, in the second tourist home of one of the people under accusation. According to what we learn, no activity linked to the contested crimes appears to have been carried out in Sardinia.

Around 90 soldiers were involved in 26 local searches and served 14 warnings. The operation takes place in the provinces of Sassari, Reggio Emilia, Parma, Verona, Brescia, Lucca, Livorno, Rome and Siena.
