A day dedicated to fishing and being together turns into a nightmare for a group of friends from Gubbio, in Umbria.

The company had gathered in a local club of fishing enthusiasts and, after spending the morning catching fish, they sat down to eat them.

Suddenly, however, everyone - about forty people - began to experience very violent symptoms of intoxication: nausea, vomiting and dysentery .

Scenes have arisen which - in a series of audio and images published on Whatsapp and social networks - are defined as “apocalyptic” . Many ran home by car, others locked themselves in the restaurant toilet, in excruciating pain . Others have sought alternative solutions.

Some ambulances arrived on the spot, while the Usl Umbria 1 started investigations to understand what caused the devastating and sudden illnesses that hit the diners: contaminated fish? Not shot down? A bacterium? A gastrointestinal flu?

The story - which took place a month ago, but only hit the headlines in these hours - quickly became viral, with the #Gubbio tag entering the trending topics of Twitter.

Many shared the audio of the protagonists of the misadventure. In the shoes of which no one, absolutely no one, would ever want to be.
