In third place, there is also Vermentino di Sardegna among the native wines that in 2022 increased sales the most in 2022. The data emerges from the analysis by Coldiretti, which exhibited the bottles of the 15 wines for the what consumption has grown in Italy, on the basis of Circana data which, the association states, "highlight the patriotic turning point in the glass", in contrast with the overall trend in sales which in the last year show an average of -1, 8% by value.

Ribolla from Friuli Venezia Giulia takes first place with a growth of +12.2% in value, Muller Thurgau from Trentino Alto Adige follows with +10%. Third, in fact, the Vermentino of Sardinia, Tuscany and Liguria which marks a +9.9%. The growth in the value of consumption is followed by Grillo from Sicily (+5.4%), Valpolicella Ripasso from Veneto (+4.1%), Vernaccia from Tuscany (+3.3%), Pinot Noir which - Coldiretti points out - is the only international vine that entered the rankings with +3.3%, followed by Orvieto from Umbria and Lazio (+3.1%), by Aglianico from Basilicata, Campania, Puglia and Molise ( +2.9%), from Ortrugo of Emilia Romagna and Lombardy (+2.4%).

At the bottom of the ranking of the "magnificent 15", but still growing, there are Nebbiolo from Piedmont and Lombardy (+2.2%), Sagrantino from Umbria (+2.1%), Soave from Veneto ( +1.7%), Negroamaro di Puglia (+1.1%) and Cirò di Calabria (+1%).

«The future of Italian and European agriculture», says the president of Coldiretti Ettore Prandini, « depends on the ability to promote and protect the territorial distinctiveness which has been the key to success in the wine sector where they have found their greatest exaltation».
