Two women of Chinese origin, aged 47 and 50, died, probably drowned, while they were looking for blue crabs in the delta area of Rosolina, in the province of Rovigo.

The bodies were recovered, a short distance from each other, by firefighters. The first body was spotted, floating in the water, by a fishing boat. Shortly after, thanks to the use of a helicopter, the second body was spotted.

The two from Rovigo, where they lived, had gone to Rosolina, along the paths of the botanical garden, precisely to hunt blue crabs.

The alarm for their disappearance had been raised on Sunday evening when their relatives had not seen them return home. Despite the darkness, the search had started immediately, with the involvement of firefighters, Carabinieri and the Port Authority.

Yesterday morning, in the light of day, the sighting of the two bodies, in the Porto Caleri area, in Rosolina. The bodies are now at the disposal of the judicial authorities.
