The number of victims of the tragic accident that occurred in Campagna , in the province of Salerno, has risen to three, which cost the lives, a week ago, of two carabinieri - Francesco Pastore and Francesco Ferraro, aged 24 and 27 - who died instantly.

In fact, Cosimo Filantropia, the 75-year-old who following the collision had been taken to the Cardarelli hospital in Naples in very serious conditions, died in hospital.

The elderly man, who was aboard one of the three cars involved in the crash, was in a medically induced coma, with serious injuries, and unfortunately the doctors' attempts to save his life were useless.

Nancy Liliano, the 31-year-old driving the SUV that triggered the fatal collision and who later tested positive for alcohol and drugs in her blood, remains accused of vehicular homicide for the accident.
