Tragedy on the Colombo Highway in Rome: 20-year-old dies in suspected car race

A car race may have been the cause of the road accident that occurred last night on Via Cristoforo Colombo, which cost the life of 20-year-old Beatrice Bellucci.
According to initial investigations, one of the cars involved, carrying two young men, was traveling at high speed, possibly challenging another vehicle. The car struck the one carrying the victim, who was sitting in the passenger seat, which then crashed into a tree on the central reservation.
The young woman, seriously injured, was immediately treated but died in the hospital shortly after the accident. Three other young people involved in the collision were hospitalized with critical injuries.
Rome Local Police officers are investigating the accident and will attempt to determine who was responsible and confirm the possibility of a car race.
