Tragedy at sea, eight-year-old girl drowns while bathing

Tragedy in Bibione , in the Venice area, where an 8 year old girl drowned .

The little girl , of German nationality and who knew how to swim, went into the water with her parents who were watching her from the shoreline . At that moment, thanks to the heat, there were a lot of people in the water and at first no one noticed that the little girl was in difficulty .

When the alarm was raised, she was brought to shore by a lifeguard and then assisted by paramedics from the nearby emergency medical center . A helicopter from Padua then intervened, but there was nothing that could be done for the little girl.

The investigations are being carried out by the Bibione Carabinieri, coordinated by the Pordenone Prosecutor's Office.
