Luigi Criscuolo was killed with a pistol shot in the face fired with a small-caliber weapon. This is the first reconstruction of the murder of the 60-year-old, known as "Gigi bike", found dead on December 20 in a field in the hamlet of Calignano di Cura Carpignano, in the Pavia area. The autopsy has yet to be performed but the first examination of the corpse allows us to reach some conclusions.

The man had disappeared on the morning of 8 November: his car was found on the evening of the same day in the countryside of Calignano. While the investigators collect information and testimonies on the victim's life, the reliability of an anonymous letter left in the mailbox of the villa in front of which the body was abandoned is also evaluated. In those lines we read that Criscuolo had been entrusted with the loot of a robbery carried out years ago in Oltrepò Pavese (300 thousand euros in cash and jewels), and that he would not have returned in the appointment of 8 November in Calignano. The prosecutor has opened an investigation file for murder, kidnapping and concealment of a body.
