With the arrest of Matteo Messina Denaro , the list of highly dangerous fugitives belonging to the " special research program " of the Interforce group dwindles.

And the first on the list is precisely the Sardinian Attilio Cubeddu , born on 2 March 1947 in Arzana, in the Nuoro area, and wanted since 1997 for not having returned, at the end of a permit, to the Prison of Badu and Carros, where he was for kidnapping, murder and grievous bodily harm. On March 18, 1998 international searches were issued for him, for arrest for extradition purposes, and if until a few years ago it was thought he might have been killed, now it is believed that he is hiding in Ogliastra , protected by a dense network of supporters.

Still wanted also Giovanni Motisi , born on January 1, 1959 in Palermo and wanted since 1998 for murders, since 2001 for mafia-type association and other, since 2002 for massacre and other; must serve the sentence of life imprisonment and December 10, 1999 were issued international searches for arrest for extradition purposes.

Then Renato Cinquegranella , born on May 15, 1949 in Naples, wanted since 2002 for mafia-type criminal association, complicity in murder, possession and illegal carrying of weapons, extortion and more; on 7 December 2018 international searches were issued for arrest for extradition purposes.

Finally Pasquale Bonavota , born on 10 January 1974 in Vibo Valentia, wanted since 2018 for "mafia-type association" and "aggravated murder in competition".
