Investigations continue into the fate of the young woman found lifeless near a small ruined church in a forest in Equilivaz, a hamlet of La Salle, in the Aosta Valley.

Serious injuries to the abdomen were found on the girl's body which indicate a death from violent causes. Therefore excluding the possibility that it could have been an illness and, in addition to the suggestion of suicide, the investigators do not exclude the hypothesis that it could be a case of murder.

Useful information for investigators will come from the results of the autopsy, entrusted to the Turin pathologist Roberto Testi and which will be completed by next Tuesday.

The prosecutor also ordered toxicological tests on the victim.

The abandoned chapel was seized.
