The girl born in Ukraine with surrogacy techniques and abandoned by her biological parents was entrusted to a Piedmontese family.
The little girl, 15 months old, was repatriated with an operation managed by the Service for international police cooperation and coordination of the judiciary.
The case was then dealt with by the Juvenile Court of Turin, which opened the adoption procedure. The family where the child is now is to be considered "foster", the practice for adoption in the meantime will follow its course.
The child was also found a Ukrainian-speaking nanny so that she can hear words in the only language she has known to date.
The Novara Public Prosecutor's Office has opened a file on the affair without the hypothesis of a crime or under investigation. Investigators listened to the couple who confirmed that they did not want to take over the baby.
