The families of the victims ask to reopen the investigation into the crimes attributed to the monster of Florence and to allow the offended parties access to the investigation documents.

The requests were presented to the Prosecutor's Office in Florence by the lawyers of the relatives of Nadine Mauriot and Jean Michel Kraveichvili, victims of the latest of the murders attributed to the monster which took place in Scopeti in September 1985, and of Carmela De Nuccio, one of the two victims of the murder which took place in Scandicci in 1981.

"The first instance - reads a press release from the lawyers - concerns the request for access to the proceedings against Pietro Pacciani, already presented last year, initially granted and then denied". The second "is a request for the reopening of the investigations of the proceedings already filed against Giampiero Vigilanti, based on various elements of investigative interest regarding issues in ballistics, genetics and witness".

On the case "a new lead would have emerged concerning a subject that was first attended to and then ignored", a lead which was "never investigated". There are also "new elements of investigative relevance so far not considered and inherent in the proceeding filed by the investigating judge in November 2020", or "a DNA present on the anonymous envelopes and at the crime scene, a Beretta 22 caliber pistol disappeared into thin air and potential witnesses from feel".

In the request for access to the documents, among other things, it is requested to extract a copy of the investigations after 1985 against suspected persons and ended up in a dossier of the carabinieri.

"We are looking for the truth - says the lawyer Valter Biscotti who assists Estelle Lanciotti, Nadine Mauriot's eldest daughter -, the real one, with a new investigation, and in the documents there are traces so far neglected to identify the killer". "Perhaps this time - adds the lawyer Antonio Mazzeo, who represents Daniele Kraveichvili, sister of Jean Michel Kraveichvili, and Rosanna De Nuccio, sister of Carmela De Nuccio - given the large participation of the victims' families, the Florence public prosecutor will decide to open the door to the monster's archive ".
