A man and his partner were shot dead last night in the countryside of Castrovillari, Cosentino. The two bodies were inside a car in an isolated area, in the “Giammellona” district.
His body was in the trunk of the car, hers in the driver's seat.
The Prosecutor of the Republic of Castrovillari, Alessandro D'Alessio, the carabinieri and the coroner who was given the task of carrying out the external examination of the corpses arrived on the spot.
The man and the woman would have been killed a few hours before the bodies were found. Numerous gunshot holes were found on the bodies of the victims - a convict and his partner.
The motive is all to be ascertained: the carabinieri are investigating at 360 degrees but the privileged hypothesis is that of a revenge matured in the circles of crime, it is not yet known whether common or organized.
