"Thanks is not enough". Thus begins the message that a woman wrote on social media to recount the misadventure, with a happy ending, that happened on the Grimaldi ship departing from Livorno to Olbia last night.

Around 10pm, during boarding, the pet carrier on which the family cat was traveling broke, causing the scared and disoriented cat to run off the drawbridge of the ferry and end up in the sea.

At that point the crew set to work to recover Mitch , the cat: “ Without your fundamental help – writes Martina C. - our big cat would not have made it, despite being in the water for 30 minutes with the strength of a lion . You have put into play professionalism, dedication, soul, heart and incredible perseverance… all qualities that are by no means taken for granted nowadays”.

Then the thanks: " On behalf of all my family I want to tell you that you are wonderful people to whom we wish all the best, because people like you are the ones the whole world needs ".

“Mitch owes you his life – he concludes – and in a certain sense we owe it to you too, because those who love their animals can only imagine the anguish and desperation of that moment ”.
