Struck by the train at the station, she dies on the tracks

A 61-year-old woman was hit by a train while trying to cross the tracks at the station. This is the first reconstruction of the tragedy which cost the life of Giuseppina Camussi.

The accident occurred around 5 pm this afternoon at the Sartirana Lomellina station, in the province of Pavia. The woman did not die instantly but was seriously injured. Immediately rescued, the attempts to save her through the resuscitation carried out by the 118 health workers were useless. Two helicopters from Brescia and Alessandria were also requested, but both were not available for technical reasons.

The investigations are carried out by Polfer.
