"A lot of anxiety - 2 dismissals," "Stasi has requested reopening," "Mom panicking over the Stasi case," "Stasi appeals to the Supreme Court." These are some of the notes extracted from the Moleskine notebooks of Andrea Sempio, accused by the Pavia Prosecutor's Office of being the perpetrator of Chiara Poggi's murder. These notes are now part of the recently concluded investigation against him, which "exonerates" the victim's then-boyfriend.
Sempio's statements, reported in the Carabinieri report, refer to the years 2019, 2020, and 2021. "In his notes," it is noted, "he also reveals a certain interest in the trial process concerning" Stasi.
Indeed, Alberto Stasi, through his lawyers, had filed a formal request for a review of the conviction in June 2020, bringing to light new evidence, including new fingerprint and DNA analyses, and pointing to Sempio as the culprit. He wrote, "It seems he stung his hair...(inc) well, he should...(inc)... stay away from us."
And the following October, Marco Poggi's friend noted: "Archived again," followed a few days later with "Stasi appealed to the Supreme Court" and finally "Stasi no appeal."
In the same Moleskine, he writes about his dreams, "and in some of them he describes himself as a violent character." In this regard, he summarizes in the documents, "he dreams of stabbing people" or "he dreams of a blonde using a taser on him, but he jumps on her and cuts her face open." And then there are references to photos and web searches of a sexual nature and related to friends. "Numerous," we read elsewhere in the report, "are the Internet browsing activities (...) that reveal his interest in Satanism, murder, assassinations, sexual predators, violence against women, cadavers and decapitation, autopsies and cadaveric phenomena."
The investigation also highlights the "conclusions" of Cristina Cattaneo's medical-legal report, which "provide a time frame" for Chiara Poggi's death "between 7:00 and 12:30" on August 13, 2007, given "the most solid scientific evidence," which must be compared with the fact that the girl deactivated the alarm at 9:12.
According to a Carabinieri note, based on the teacher's "investigations," two "time slots" have been identified in which Andrea Sempio could have committed the murder: between 9:12 and 9:58 (when the boy called a friend) and between 9:58 and 11:25 (when his parents called).
