And there are two of them. The second SUV that the robbers who attacked the armored van in San Vincenzo (Livorno) on Friday evening had used to escape was also found by the Carabinieri of Piombino this morning.
The vehicle had been hidden in the woods in a remote area in the territory of Suvereto, in the same provincial territory.
The first of the three vehicles was found the day after the attack: again an SUV, it was in a field in the Pisan hinterland, not far from the site of the attack as the crow flies.
Meanwhile, the investigations coordinated by the Livorno prosecutor's office are continuing in order to trace the perpetrators of the robbery: a commando of ten/eleven men who, according to the investigators, were all Sardinians. Which does not mean that they had all arrived from the Island to attack the two armored vehicles on the Aurelia: it is not excluded that someone lives permanently on the other side of the Tyrrhenian Sea. This second hypothesis could be supported by the fact that the vehicles used to block the convoy with the money had been stolen in October, in the province of Siena.
