Rasmus Paludan, the 43-year-old Danish far-right politician known for burning the Koran, who arrived in Malpensa this morning to participate in the Remigration Summit, was expelled from Italy for public order reasons.

The Varese Police Headquarters confirmed it. The Digos carried out all the necessary checks, and then the expulsion was triggered. "They told me that 'the others get angry because you are here. That's why you shouldn't be here'", wrote Paludan on Facebook.

The man was stopped this morning at Malpensa, he was going to the summit of the European far right. His name was reported among those of the passengers of a flight that landed in the Milan hub and he was reached by the agents of the Polaria as soon as he disembarked and then handed over to the men of the Digos who identified him.

Paludan founded the far-right party Stram Kurs (Hard Line) and has been convicted several times for burning the Koran in public. It is not yet clear where the Remigration Summit will be held, which was initially organized in a hotel in Somma Lombardo, in the province of Varese. The same hotel then chose not to confirm the reservation, leaving the Summit without a location.

The organizers have always confirmed that the event would still be held on the established date, that is, May 17, from 2 to 7:30 pm . The Prefecture of Varese has been on alert for days to guarantee "public order and the safety of citizens" given that it is not excluded that the organizers have found another place to hold the event, always in the province of Varese. The prefect of Varese Salvatore Pasquariello himself had explained that "it is a private event and therefore it is impossible to prohibit it".
