"Define children." The tone of the discussion up to that point had certainly not been calm. But it was from this sentence on that the tone skyrocketed last night, during the Rete 4 program "È sempre Cartabianca," hosted by Bianca Berlinguer.

The statement was made by Eyal Mizrahi, president of the Friends of Israel Federation, in response to Enzo Iacchetti, who was connected to the studio. The comedian, actor, and longtime host of Striscia la Notizia has long been a supporter of the Palestinian cause. Yesterday, he rhetorically asked Mizrahi whether he also considered the thousands of children killed in Gaza to be terrorists "with Kalashnikovs," given that the Zionist representative maintained that "of approximately 50,000 deaths in Palestine, at least 20,000-22,000 were Hamas terrorists."

"Define children," he replied, sparking Iacchetti's ire. He said he was no longer available to speak with his interlocutor, who, in his opinion, shouldn't even be invited on TV, because "there's no debate here, no war. Here's just an army doing what you've wanted to do for centuries: conquer the land of the Palestinians. But haven't you seen the mothers carrying their children in their arms?"

The Israeli representative countered: "You're a fascist," he said, addressing Iacchetti. And he lost it: "What did you say, asshole? I'm coming and punching you." Meanwhile, on another link, writer Mauro Corona chimed in: "Send this guy away." He was talking about Eyal Mizrahi.
