The Venetian no vax leader Lorenzo Damiano, a member of the "Nuremberg 2" movement with which he was a candidate in the last elections for the mayor of Conegliano, in the province of Treviso, has contracted Covid and is hospitalized in intensive care at the Vittorio hospital Veneto.
The 56-year-old, local media reported, contracted the virus during a pilgrimage in early November to Medjugorje.
An early no vax activist, Damiano had called for a "Nuremberg 2" against vaccination promoters. A religious fundamentalism mixed with anti-system positions and the usual slogans against the "health dictatorship", for vaccination freedom and home treatment.
His initials at the last municipal authorities had obtained 2.78% of the preferences.
