Chiara Ferragni was acquitted at the end of the summary trial involving the well-known Pandoro Pink Christmas and Easter egg cases . Judge Ilio Mannucci Pacini of the Third Criminal Section of Milan ruled this.

The influencer was charged with aggravated fraud in relation to allegedly misleading messages posted on social media : according to the prosecution, she promoted the sale of the two desserts by implying that part of the proceeds would go to fund charitable projects.

«We are all moved, I thank everyone, my lawyers and my followers» , said Ferragni, visibly moved, after the acquittal, inundated by cameras, reporters and photographers, just outside the courtroom.

Judge Mannucci, technically, did not recognize the aggravating circumstance, contested by the prosecutors, of the weakened defense of consumers or online users, which made the crime of fraud prosecutable even without a complaint .

Thus, since Codacons had withdrawn its complaint about a year ago following a compensation agreement with the influencer, it ordered the acquittal due to the extinction of the crime, which was reclassified as simple fraud. This acquittal also involved Chiara Ferragni's co-defendants, her then-right-hand man, Fabio Damato, and the president of Cerealitalia, Francesco Cannillo.
