Overwhelmed by a shelf full of goods, a warehouse worker, hit in the head, dies

On 2 September she was overwhelmed by a pallet in the warehouse of the company where she worked.

Tiziana Bruschi, a 58-year-old warehouse worker, died this morning in the hospital in Careggi (Florence).

He did not make it after more than five weeks of hospitalization due to the trauma and serious injuries suffered in the accident at work that took place in a plastic molding company in Scandicci.

The owner of the company is under investigation for manslaughter.

According to the reconstruction of the investigators, the victim was overwhelmed by a pallet loaded with goods. Among the hypotheses there is also the one that a worker driving a forklift hit a pile of pallets causing them to fall, and one of these hit the unfortunate 58-year-old.

The pallet, loaded with goods, fell from a height of three meters hitting the victim in the head. Weeks of hospitalization in neurosurgery, the hope that every day became more and more feeble, until death.
