Over 40 thousand counterfeit products - including perfumes, cosmetics, accessories, clothing and hi-tech materials - with an estimated value of around one million euros, were seized in recent days by the military of the provincial command of the Guardia di Finanza of Naples in Orta di Atella, in the province of Caserta.

The financial police have reported two 30-year-olds from the province of Naples for counterfeiting and receiving stolen goods , who were cautiously placing packages inside a basement room.

The subsequent search allowed the discovery of over 40 thousand counterfeit items stored in a real "fake warehouse": the packaging was visibly different from the original and the verification of the QR codes revealed that, unlike the authentic products, they did not redirect browsers to the official websites of the well-known manufacturers.

The goods, if placed on the market, would have brought in over a million euros , considering the retail prices of the original products, many of which are widely consumed and promoted on online platforms as current trends.
