One month old baby dies of asphyxiation, investigation opened
When the rescuers arrived at the house, the little boy was already in cardiac arrest
Tragedy in Caltanissetta.
This morning a one-month-old baby died of asphyxiation while being transported to the Sant'Elia emergency room.
The parents called 118 at around 8.30. While the ambulance was trying to reach the house, the operator gave them instructions by telephone to try to revive him, but without success.
When the rescuers arrived at the baby's home, the little boy was already in cardiac arrest.
The rush to the hospital was useless, where the baby arrived already dead.
Police have opened an investigation into the case to shed light on the causes of death.
