A turning point in the investigation into the murder of Luciano Muttoni , committed in Valbrembo , in the Bergamo area. The Carabinieri have arrested two men, a 25-year-old Italian and a 24-year-old Polish man, now in prison in Bergamo.
Muttoni, 57, was found dead yesterday, after two days of no news from him. The two arrested, as far as we know, were stopped near Monza, after investigators, in the hours following the crime, collected dozens of testimonies in search of useful clues.
Muttoni lived alone in a house that he often rented on online platforms and his old Volkswagen Golf to drive around the tourists he hosted. The car had been missing for a few days.
The investigation is being coordinated by Deputy Prosecutor Letizia Ruggeri. As for the motive, it would have been a home robbery that degenerated into violence, with the two suspects allegedly killing the 57-year-old after he tried to resist.
