"A particularly unjust death. The victim paid for being altruistic, for helping a person who asked him for help."

With these words the prosecutor of Turin, Anna Maria Loreto, defined the tragic fate of Massimo Melis, the 52-year-old of Sardinian origin who was murdered on Halloween night in the Piedmontese capital.

Loreto met with journalists to take stock of the investigations, after the investigating judge decided not to validate the arrest but to order the precautionary measure of the prison for Luigi Oste, 62, the alleged killer of Melis.

The prosecutor referred, in particular, to the concern that the victim had towards his friend Patrizia, who last summer had rejected the attentions of the host.

Against the latter, the investigating judge, the magistrate specified, acknowledged the existence of two aggravating circumstances, namely premeditation and futile reasons.

"The murderer hit Melis to punish the woman, considered an object that has no right to rebel - continued Loreto - and this is retaliation, a non-acceptance of the will of the other person".

Still, explained the prosecutor, “there are images depicting the alleged murderer leaving his bar, L'Angelo Azzurro in Corso Vercelli, reaching the crime scene, a few tens of meters away, and going back. And we have immediate direct evidence that Luigi Oste was armed ".

For his part, Luigi Mitola, manager of the Mobile Squad of the Turin Police Headquarters, highlighted that "there are images depicting the alleged murderer leaving his bar," L'Angelo Azzurro "in Corso Vercelli, reaching the crime scene, far away a few tens of meters, and go back. And we have immediate direct evidence that Luigi Oste was armed ".

"The results of the chats - adds the manager of the mobile squad - immediately gave us back a very strong, very clear and at the same time unmotivated and illogical motive, because he turned his hatred against a person who had nothing to do with he hadn't done anything without it

moreover, not even interfere in the decisions of the woman ".
