Justice Minister Carlo Nordio will file a civil action in the coming days against Sigfrido Ranucci for the statements made by the host of Report on the program "È sempre Cartabianca" on Rete 4 regarding the minister's possible presence at the ranch of Giuseppe Cipriani, Nicole Minetti 's partner, in Uruguay . This was reported by Il Foglio, citing qualified sources within the ministry.

The request for compensation, explains Il Foglio, will address the damage to the Minister of Justice's reputation and image caused by the dissemination of unverified news , in violation of the Code of Ethics for Italian Journalists, which requires journalists to verify the reliability of information gathered before publishing it. Any funds obtained as a result of the compensation action will be donated to charity.

"One of our sources reportedly saw Minister Nordio at Cipriani's ranch in Uruguay in March. If that's true, it's news. We're checking it out," the Report host stated last Tuesday, a guest on Bianca Berlinguer's program. He was referring to the pardon granted to Nicole Minetti, Cipriani's partner .
