Fear this afternoon in the heart of Milan where a man , with the Koran in his hand and wearing a tunic , attacked three people . One was slightly injured in the face. He would have thrown himself at passers-by while shouting "Allah Akbar" , as witnesses reported, but the statements have yet to be examined by the police.

It happened around 2.30pm at the end of Viale Monza. The State Police, after the intervention of two police cars, stopped the man. In a clear state of alteration , not yet identified, he was transported to the Polyclinic for checks.

The injured man , a 44-year-old Ecuadorian , was instead taken to the Bassini hospital in Cinisello Balsamo (Milan) under code green. According to what was reported by the Police Headquarters, what happened has no connection with the pro-Palestine demonstration that has just ended in the Lombardy capital.
