He had taken his two-month-old son away from the hospital and fled, trying to hide where he was. Tracked down by the police, he was arrested .

It happened last Wednesday at the Magenta hospital , in the province of Milan . It was the drug addict father who stole the little boy from the facility. The escape ended yesterday evening when the man, a 30-year-old Italian of Egyptian origins , was blocked by the police who handed him over to the local police of Abbiategrasso.

When the police arrived, the man was on board a train. He initially resisted the officers, who eventually managed to handcuff him. The baby, who suffers from neonatal drug addiction and heart disease , was taken in good condition to the De Marchi clinic in Milan for further tests. The social services of Abbiategrasso are now taking care of him.
