The front of the yes to the revocation of the obligation of the mask at school in view of the last days of lessons and of the examination of the middle and high school grades is broadened. "I am convinced, and I supported him before - affirms Undersecretary of Health Andrea Costa - that especially during lessons, when youngsters and children are sitting in their seats, they can remove their masks".

"I hope that the final exams - echoes the colleague at the Instruction Rossano Sasso - can take place without the obligation to wear masks: between the end of June and the beginning of July the high temperatures would make the situation really difficult both for the students and for the teachers. The protocols in force expire in a month and it would make no sense to propose them again ".

The Codacons , which announced an appeal to the Lazio TAR, is also in favor of the revocation.

For the Genoese infectious disease specialist Matteo Bassetti "we remain the only country or one of the few with the obligation to wear a mask at school", and he speaks of a "decision that, contrary to what the Minister of Health Roberto Speranza says, is not of the science". While the epidemiologist of the Campus Bio-medico in Rome, Massimo Ciccozzi , wonders "why remove the obligation of masks when there are still many infections, especially among adolescents. If the positivity rate will drop from the current 13% to 10% in early June then we will be able to think about the elimination of this obligation during the middle and high school exams ".

For Fabrizio Pregliasco , virologist at the University of Milan, "we got this far doing 90: let's make 100", he says, stressing that he "remains of the idea" that the masks have served to guarantee face-to-face teaching, and to reduce the diffusion when they recorded 1-2 cases in the classroom.
