Marco Raduano at 41 bis.

The boss of the Gargano mafia, captured in Corsica after escaping from the Badu 'e Carros prison in Nuoro a year ago, has returned to Italy.

«The boss of the Foggia mafia Marco Raduano has been returned to his country's prisons. Having arrived in Italy today after being arrested in Corsica, he is detained under the 41 bis regime. With the capture of Raduano, the State has dealt a heavy blow to organized crime in the Gargano", declared Andrea Delmastro, FdI deputy and undersecretary of Justice, in a note.

However, investigations continue to understand who favored his hiding and, possibly, his escape: «I hope that, thanks to the continuation of the investigations, the network of supporters can be uncovered, so that they too can be brought to justice. The State does not retreat against the mafia", concludes Delmastro.
