The descent of all the main indicators of the pandemic continues. This is what emerges from the data of the usual weekly ISS-Ministry of Health monitoring.

The weekly incidence from 18 to 24 February is 552 cases per 100 thousand inhabitants, compared to 672 last week. The transmissibility index Rt also falls: in the period 2-15 February, the average Rt calculated on symptomatic cases is equal to 0.73 (range 0.68-0.82), below the epidemic threshold and further decrease compared to seven days ago when it was equal to 0.77.

The occupancy rate of intensive care beds falls below the 10% threshold. A drop of two percentage points in one week, from 10.4 to 8.4%.

But they are above the threshold in eight Regions including Sardinia: Calabria (13.2%), Emilia Romagna (10.7%), Lazio (11.8%), Liguria (10.6%), Marche (11.3%) %), Sardinia (12.7%), Tuscany (12.1%), Valle d'Aosta (11.8%).

In the medical area, employment is still above 15%, the threshold for the yellow zone, but in sharp decline compared to the figure of a week ago. We are talking about 18.5% of beds occupied against 22.2% of the last monitoring.
