The Milan prosecutor has asked for the indictment of the governor of Lombardy Attilio Fontana and 4 other people for the gowns case.

The matter concerns the assignment by the Lombardy Region of a supply of about half a million euros of 75 thousand gowns and other personal protective equipment to Dama, the company of his brother-in-law Andrea Dini.

In reality, only 50 thousand were delivered, as the conflict of interest surfaced. For this reason the supply was transformed into a donation, with the consequence, according to the reconstruction of the investigators, that the order was not completed due to the non-delivery of a third of the material, which led the prosecutors to formulate the accusation of fraud in public supplies.

The request for indictment is signed by the prosecutors Carlo Scalas and Paolo Filippini and by the adjunct Maurizio Romanelli. The accusation is of fraud in public supplies.

In addition to Fontana, a trial was also requested for Andrea Dini, owner of Dama, Filippo Bongiovanni and Carmen Schweigl, former CEO and manager of Aria Spa, and finally Pier Attilio Superti, Deputy Secretary General of the Region.
