Investigations underway in Città delle Pieve, in the province of Perugia, after the death of a child of only 2 years, which took place in a supermarket in the hamlet of Po 'Bandino.

The dynamics of the incident are still being examined by the carabinieri, who intervened on the spot after the alarm, who started the investigations.

From what we learn, the little boy was rescued, but he did not make it. On the little body would have been found stab wounds, in the chest and neck.

A 43-year-old Hungarian woman - possibly her mother - was arrested on suspicion of murder in a confused state. She would have entered the store with the baby in her arms, laying him on the conveyor belt of a crate. To establish where and how the injuries were caused to the baby.

"What is certain - said the mayor Fausto Risini - is that it is a great tragedy that occurred in a small and quiet center, now upset".

Investigators have sifted through a dilapidated cottage in the surrounding area, where the murder of the child may have been committed. The men of the weapon also confiscated a stroller, found nearby, on which traces of blood were reportedly found.

It seems that the woman and the child did not live in Città della Pieve but in a family home outside the region while the father was abroad.
