The intent was to kill a nurse, who he believed was responsible for a medical error that happened to a family member. But, for a mistake, he stabbed a 54-year-old farmer from Canosa di Puglia.

The alleged attacker, a 50-year-old from Canosa, is in prison in Trani in custody. The charge is that of attempted murder.

The police ascertained that yesterday morning the 54-year-old was approached by the 50-year-old, who hit him in the chest with a hunting knife and then fled. The injured man managed to reach a nearby medical center for help.
