He suffocated his mother in her sleep, possibly with a pillow .

It happened in Ferrara where a 51-year-old attacked the elderly woman , who had been seriously ill for years, in her home. The victim was 71 years old .

After the act, the man called the police and reported himself . He is now in the police station waiting to be questioned by the prosecutor on duty. The motive and the dynamics of the murder are still to be clarified.
