A 13-year-old from Modugno, in the province of Bari, was seriously injured by the explosion of a bomb that took place late yesterday afternoon and is now hospitalized in intensive care at the Bari Polyclinic.
The explosion of the big firecracker caused him to lose a hand and part of his arm . Arrived at the hospital in red code, the boy underwent two surgeries: one for the amputation of the hand, the other for the removal of the fragments that injured him in the abdomen .
Currently the adolescent is in a reserved prognosis, intubated and ventilated.
According to an initial reconstruction, the boy was with friends in the historic center, entered an uninhabited house and found the bomb in the external courtyard. He took it and, after taking it to the municipal park, ignited it with a lighter, injuring himself very seriously .
