A woman was arrested for the death of a 45-year-old, Cristian Favara, who was stabbed to death last night in the historic center of Trapani, behind the city's cathedral.

The stop, Vanda Grignani, was the man's cohabitant and would have confessed. From an initial reconstruction it seems that last night there was a violent quarrel between the two. Grignani, holding a knife, would have struck a blow to the chest, killing Favara instantly. The woman is now locked up at the "Pagliarelli" in Palermo.

SOCIAL POSTS - A situation of discomfort, that of the woman, which had been going on for some time. From the first investigations it emerged that he had "announced" what he would do with two posts on Facebook yesterday, at 11.36 pm and 11.38 pm. He would do "something I never thought, I love you. Forgive me." Again: "Sorry I love you all I miss my family I'm alone this being has led me to exasperation. The police and carabinieri of Trapani seem to get along well with him". Finally: "I asked for help. He destroyed me. The Trapani police and carabinieri are defending him. Okay, I'm tired. I have nothing more to lose. Forgive me."

It is not clear what exactly she refers to but among her friends no one understood that she would really be able to put her intentions into practice: someone advised her to "stay calm and that in life with anger and strange thoughts we only have to lose". Others think carefully: "Don't be fooled by anger. You must remain calm and situations will be resolved."

THE VICTIM - The 45-year-old son of well-known restaurateurs from Trapani and he too for some time manager of a restaurant, had a criminal record for drugs and manslaughter: he was involved in the death from an overdose of a drug addict, to whom he had given the drug. For this he was sentenced in the first instance to 7 years and six months of imprisonment.
